Why Were the Jews Persecuted?
Line from the movie "Boy in the Striped Pajamas"
One of the biggest reasons for Adolf Hitler's deep-rooted hatred for Jews was his belief that the Germans were descended from the Aryan race, and it was the Germans' right to rise up and control the "inferior races", such as the Jews and Slaves. This hatred eventually turned from enslaving the "inferior races" to just wiping them out completely.
Another possible reason for Hitler's hatred of the Jewish people is jealousy. He saw many Germans without jobs after World War I, and instead of looking at the war as reason for the economic depression, he blamed the Jews. Even in hard times, many Jewish people were able to find jobs as doctors, lawyers, and skilled professionals. Hitler's hatred really intensified during the Germany's economic struggle, due to his thinking that Jews were taking all the jobs that he believed belonged to Aryans.
